As an Audiologist at Acme Services, you will be responsible for conducting detailed hearing assessments, fitting hearing aids, and guiding patients through their hearing journey with empathy and precision. You will also collaborate closely with doctors and healthcare staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.


Key Responsibilities

1. Hearing Assessment & Screening:

  • Conduct comprehensive ear screenings and diagnostic hearing assessments for all incoming patients.

  • Identify degrees and types of hearing loss to recommend suitable hearing solutions.

2. Audiometry & Reporting:

  • Perform Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) tests with high accuracy.

  • Prepare detailed reports outlining test findings and clinical recommendations.

3. Patient Counseling & Sales:

  • Counsel patients on their hearing test results and explain the benefits of appropriate hearing aids.

  • Recommend and sell suitable hearing aids based on individual hearing profiles and lifestyle needs.

4. Hearing Aid Management:

  • Conduct hearing aid trials and ensure accurate fitment and tuning for optimal hearing outcomes.

  • Assist patients with care, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hearing aids.

5. Customization & Ear Impressions:

  • Take precise ear molds for custom hearing aid fittings, ensuring comfort and superior sound quality.

6. Tele-audiometry Services:

  • Provide remote hearing assessments and follow-ups using tele-audiometry technology when required.

7. Professional Networking:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, ENT specialists, and nearby healthcare professionals.

  • Promote referral collaborations and enhance community outreach for hearing healthcare awareness.


Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in ear screening and hearing assessment.

  • Expertise in PTA and OAE testing with accurate data interpretation.

  • Strong patient counseling and sales conversion abilities.

  • Hands-on experience with hearing aid trials, fittings, and aftercare.

  • Skilled in taking ear molds for customized hearing aids.

  • Adaptable to perform tele-audiometry and virtual consultations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team and patient engagement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Audiology (BASLP / MASLP) or equivalent certification.

  • Proven experience in hearing assessments, device fitting, and patient handling.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve patient satisfaction and hearing aid sales targets.
