Medicare does not provide coverage for hearing aids as of my knowledge cutoff in 2021. However, there are some Medicare Advantage plans that include hearing aid coverage. It’s best to check with your specific Medicare Advantage plan to see if they cover hearing aids and what the terms of that coverage are. Additionally, you may be able to use your flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) to pay for hearing aids, if you have one of those.
If you do not have a Medicare Advantage plan that covers hearing aids, you may still be able to get financial assistance through other programs, such as the Veterans Affairs (VA) hearing aid program, or through non-profit organizations that provide hearing aids to those in need.
